Adhesive that is very easy to apply and provides strong joints that are resistant to attack by aggressive products and ageing. It complies with UNE-EN 14814 and UNE-UN 14680 standards. It is a welding adhesive for joining rigid PVC pipes and materials, of particular interest for PRESSURE systems. Clean and degrease the surfaces to be glued. Apply a thin, uniform layer of adhesive to the sleeve and then a thicker layer to the end of the previously bevelled pipe. Immediately make the joint without turning. Remove excess adhesive with a cloth. The joint must not be subjected to stress or movement before the first 10 minutes. Depending on the ambient temperature and the aeration of the joint, the adhesive sets approximately 4 hours after its application. In installations that must withstand pressures greater than 1.5 atm, wait at least 24 hours before putting them into service. The bonding strength can be estimated up to the breaking of the material and not of the joint. It is a FLAMMABLE product. Therefore, good ventilation must be provided in the workplace and any possibility of sparks or fire must be avoided. For more information, consult the Safety Data Sheet.
How should the adhesive be applied?
Clean and degrease the surfaces to be glued. Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive to the sleeve and then a thicker layer to the previously bevelled end of the tube. Then make the joint without any twisting.
How long does it take for the adhesive to set?
Depending on the ambient temperature and the aeration of the joint, the adhesive sets approximately 4 hours after application.
How long should you wait before putting the installations into service?
In installations that must withstand pressures greater than 1.5 atm, wait at least 24 hours before putting them into service.
Is adhesive dangerous?
It is a FLAMMABLE product. Therefore, good ventilation must be provided in the workplace and any possibility of sparks or fire must be avoided.
What standards does this adhesive comply with?
