500 Self-Compensating, Anti-Drain Drippers 4 litres per hour. Toro's New Generation Dripper (NGE) has been designed to meet the special demands of the most demanding drip irrigation installations. Thanks to its unique design and pressure compensating diaphragm, the NGE provides unrivalled protection against clogging. This adjustable dripper connects directly to 16-32mm irrigation pipe or to the end of 5mm drip tube (Microtube 4.5 x 6.5mm). Recommended pressure 1-2.5 bar. Thanks to its uniform flow rate, the NGE is ideal for difficult topographic conditions. A self-cleaning function ensures that the dripper is free of debris during use and closure, and the anti-siphon function protects against siphoning. The unique dripper design and self-compensating diaphragm prevent the dripper from emptying at pressures below 0.1-0.2 bar, which in turn prevents complete system emptying and reduces the time required to fill the system during start-up, improving overall performance. The NGE is rated as one of the best pressure-compensating drippers in the industry, with a coefficient of variation of 3% or less, as tested by Toro and independent laboratories.
How do you connect the self-compensating dripper?
It connects directly to the 16 to 32mm irrigation pipe or to the end of a 5mm drip tube.
What pressure is recommended for using the dripper?
The recommended pressure is 1 to 2.5 bar.
What special function does the pressure compensation diaphragm have?
The pressure compensation diaphragm prevents blockages and protects against system emptying.
What is the coefficient of variation for Toro NGE?
The coefficient of variation is 3% or less based on Toro and independent laboratory testing.
How does NGE improve irrigation system performance?
It prevents complete system emptying and reduces filling time during start-up.
